OXO
BROWN GRAVY |

1/2 cup
stock from roast |
|
OR |
|
1/4 cup
drippings, |
|
OR |
|
1/4 cup
all-purpose flour |
|
|
2 cups
boiling water |
|
2 OXO beef
cubes |
|
Salt &
Pepper, (optional) |
|
|
Stir flour
into stock from roast or add to fat. |
|
Cook over
low heat, stirring constantly untill mixture bubbles; |
|
If desired
continue cooking until mixture browns. |
|
Dissolve
OXO beef cubes in boiling water and pour into flour-fat mixture |
Stir to
blend. Taste and add salt & pepper if desired. |
|
Simmer
about 5 minutes or until gravy thickens. |
