| OXO BROWN GRAVY | ||||||
| 1/2 cup stock from roast | ||||||
| OR | ||||||
| 1/4 cup drippings, | ||||||
| OR | ||||||
| 1/4 cup all-purpose flour | ||||||
| 2 cups boiling water | ||||||
| 2 OXO beef cubes | ||||||
| Salt & Pepper, (optional) | ||||||
| Stir flour into stock from roast or add to fat. | ||||||
| Cook over low heat, stirring constantly untill mixture bubbles; | ||||||
| If desired continue cooking until mixture browns. | ||||||
| Dissolve OXO beef cubes in boiling water and pour into flour-fat mixture | ||||||
| Stir to blend. Taste and add salt & pepper if desired. | ||||||
| Simmer about 5 minutes or until gravy thickens. | ||||||
